Installed in each of our Data Centres are Unix Servers with redundant power supplies, redundant CPU’s, and RAID controllers managing fully mirrored hard disks. Each server is connected to terminal servers that are connected to 40 data entry terminals. As a preventative measure, élan also has regularly scheduled maintenance procedures to ensure our systems are in top condition, as well as backup procedures to reduce any potential down-time.
In addition to our extensive Unix based data capture system, each of our locations has a Windows based PC network with transmission software and production scanning systems. Each network consists of 30 2.5 GHZ PCs with 1024 MB of RAM and 21” high resolution monitors.
